Recognising the exciting animal families commonly encountered in the Bazaruto Archipelago: Kisawa & BCSS are granting guests the best chance to encounter the ‘Big Ocean Five’: cetaceans, elasmobranchs, reptiles, sirenians & bony fish.
About
Complementing the global recognition of African land safaris, the Big Ocean Five promotes the region’s humpback whales, numerous groups of pelagic sharks and largest population of dugongs in the West Indian Ocean.
Award winning photographer, Helen Walne’s incredible images of pristine reefs, jewel coloured creatures and dancing jellyfish celebrate all that is spectacular in this largely undocumented, marine ‘hope spot’.
To launch Big Ocean Five, Kisawa is inviting guests to enjoy a complimentary ”Marine Wildlife Expedition”, in an oceanic adventure in the Bazaruto Archipelago.
The Big Ocean Five includes:
- A complimentary Marine Wildlife Expedition on stays of 5 nights or more in our all inclusive guest experience rate:
Step aboard one of our Axopar vessels and travel to Bazaruto, Paradise or Magaruque Islands. Keep a lookout for one of the 200 dugongs left in the region and learn why they are unique to these waters. Spot the three types of resident dolphins within the island channel or out at sea; Bottlenose, Spinner or Humpback. Catch a glimpse of the many birds species who frequent our reserve while enjoying a light snack and refreshments.
