December 2023. The culinary heart of all Kisawa dining, The Main Terrace holds a special place at the very center of the property, with enviable views across the cove and ocean sides of Benguerra Island.
With its curvy bar, porthole windows, and huge floor to ceiling glass doors, the interior of the Main Terrace transforms itself from a light and airy breakfast setting, to a lala palm admiring lunch room to a low lit cocktail bar, as the day progresses.
The new season lunch and dinner menus take inspiration from Chef Jean-Piere’s love of local seafood and high quality beef, with classic dishes such as seafood risotto, Angus tartare and house smoked carpaccio. Elegant touches include a vegetarian botanical fresco, and the catch of the night served in a white coco bean ragout with a caper and olive squid ink crisp.
Chef JP personally recommends trying his favourite lunch specials, Kudu – a seared South African Kudu loin as a carpaccio, with a herbed crust and homemade French fries.
The Main Terrace is open daily for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea through to sunset snacks, dinner and cocktails, late into the evening.
