Kisawa x BCSS Impact Report 2024

Our work & achievements in research, sustainability & social governance

Our 2024 Impact Report is out, showcasing a year of groundbreaking research, conservation and education made possible via the relationship between Kisawa and our sister Ocean Observatory, the Bazaruto Center for Scientific Studies (BCSS).

Highlights include:

16M+ weather & oceanographic data points
1,590 hours of underwater soundscapes
50,000 underwater sensor readings
10,000+ wildlife encounters across 36 species

BCSS deepened their commitment to marine conservation through 76 scientific dives, the removal of nearly 2.5 metric tons of marine debris, and ongoing research into megafauna and oceanic ecosystems.

Our ‘Resort to Research‘ partnership was recognized globally, featured in leading scientific publications, and highlighted at the Blue Economy Summit, in Milan.
