COVID-19 Update

Good news: Mozambique has opened borders to travellers from all countries.

Kisawa Sanctuary Covid Protocols

June 2021

Benguerra Island is open! All arrivals other than Mozambique citizens must present a certificate of a negative PCR test carried out within the 72 hours prior to departure and all outbound passengers will be required to present a new negative PCR test at airport customs. (Kisawa will organise the return test in the privacy of your Residence).

Once Kisawa guests have cleared a second PCR test taken in their Residence on arrival, they are welcome to explore the property freely, without masks or restrictions.

The proprietary Kisawa medical clinic, run by All Around Medical Solutions in Mozambique, oversees all COVID-19 testing and protocols at Kisawa Sanctuary, with nurses and doctors on hand for additional support. Enhanced cleaning and hygiene protocols are evident across the property, including twice-daily temperature checks for all Kisawa team members.

Personal service teams mean Kisawa staff are dedicated to one guest booking only. Due to the scale of only 12 residences set among Kisawa’s 300-hectare property, and the privacy implicit in Kisawa’s design, the sanctuary is blessed with a wealth of open- air spaces, vast physical distances between bungalows, private guest vehicles and few common touchpoint areas.
