The future of sustainable travel is a hot topic, and not one we pretend to have all the answers for. However, we're trying hard to contribute to this much needed industry rethink - and have committed to a new level of sustainable construction throughout Kisawa Sanctuary. We were thrilled to be highlighted in Conde Nast Traveler's November 2019 issue for these efforts.
“The brainchild of globe-trotting entrepreneur Nina Flohr, it’s set to be an industry blueprint for maximally local, minimally invasive projects. ‘We’ve used design as a tool, not as a style,’ she says, ‘to ensure Kisawa is integrated, culturally and environmentally, to Mozambique”.
In the words of the Conde Nast Traveller team:
But for all that, Kisawa marks the first step into a new, greater narrative – the luxury of thoughtful choices, rather than luxury for its own sake.
