March 2024
The NWC’s healing philosophy features in Condé Nast Traveller UK’s March issue, with a story exploring how the melting pot culture of Bazaruto Archipelago inspires our unique, Ayurvedic based, rituals and treatments.
“These overlooked islets off southern Mozambique have a soul-stirring sense of place, one tied to the turquoise tides, prevailing winds and ancient trade routes that link this coast with India and Asia“.
Former guest, Jane Broughton, details the holistic scope of the NWC’s healing practice – and the integrated treatments designed to align body, mind and soul.
“These might include energy and sound healing, guided mediation, tai chi, acupressure, reiki or breath work, and massages with local coconut oil and wild honey“.
As well as acknowledging the locally thatched design of the NWC, the story emphasises how beyond spa treatments, the sanctuary utilises our specific Benguerra location to promote reconnection and realignment.
“In the ocean-facing Residences, the bathrooms are stocked with dosha-specific Vanaveda produces. Menus champion produce from the permaculture garden and homemade ingredients: smoked game fish and tropical gelato. But there’ll still be time for a sunset sail on a dhow, snorkelling with turtles, or stomps along endless flats at low tide with the blink of sand dollars in the shallows“.
Thank you Jane & CNTraveller for including us in this beautiful issue.
