Kisawa is Open

We are proudly entering the third month of the sanctuary’s soft opening.

June 2021

Beautiful weather is welcoming guests to our fourteen uniquely and individually furnished Residences – each possessing their own beachfront, private infinity pool and day area – with an outdoor kitchen, cabana and a dedicated service team.

Guests are invited to choose between two dining venues – the Cove Mussassa and the Baracca, plus a mobile Pizza Tuk Tuk. Extensive in-bungalow dining and on-location menus, such as picnics in the red dunes overlooking the ocean, or sundowners while sailing on a traditional Mozambican Dhow allow for experiences centred around pure relaxation, wellness, wildlife, nature and adventure, all on offer and tailored to individual preference.

The Kisawa Kitchen and permaculture garden continues to flourish, led by culinary director Joseph Mouyabed with the aim of bringing the best of Africa and Mozambique to guests in fresh in modern ways. To achieve this we have built a network of farmers, fisherman and producers from within the Inhambane province, ensuring natural, local produce daily, with as much as possible grown and made in the Kisawa Kitchen.

The Grand Opening of Kisawa Sanctuary later in 2021, with the launch of all Ocean Residences, the Ocean Mussassa, the Main Terrace restaurant, the Natural Wellness Center and our fully equipped and air-conditioned Gym, reformer pilates studio and yoga dome.
