Triple Recognition for Malick Bodian's shoot at Kisawa

Kisawa’s photographic feature “Way off the Grid“, created by photographer Malick Bodian and creative director, Ib Kamara for WSJ. Magazine’s December 2025 issue, has won three prestigious American photography awards.
The creative collaboration, honouring the hyper local craft & environment of Kisawa took home two American Photography 42 awards for Fashion & Design.
In addition, the story was awarded a SPD61 Medal for a fashion/beauty print feature.
Conceived by the creative genius of Malick & Ib, and brought to life on the shores of Kisawa, the shoot features our team members, our sanctuary and the work of our local artisans, carefully woven into a vivid & joyous high fashion aesthetic. It was our absolute honour to help bring their artistic vision to life, and the awards further confirm the global impact of this small but mighty creative team, within the environmental beauty of Benguerra Island.
